One of the first things you notice when you walk into my kitchen is my beautiful chandelier! It is literally one of my favorite items in the entire house! I've always wanted a chandelier (actually, I have always wished my house was decked out in them!) but I did not want to spend a ton of money on one. It took me months but I was able to find the perfect one on Craigslist for only $20!
I could not pass it up! I loved the shape of it, so vintage! I just could not deal with the brass. So I decided to paint it a lovely aqua color to match the pops of color in my kitchen. I used Peacock Blue Enamel Spray Paint by Valspar that I purchased at Lowe's Home Improvement store for only a few bucks.
I cleaned the chandelier with soap and water, then let it air dry outside. Once it was dry, I sprayed my first layer of spray paint with even strokes. It's important to get in all the little nooks (or else the brass will show and you don't want that).
Let the first layer dry then spray paint another layer. Depending on how rich you want the color, you can add another layer of spray paint if you'd like.
Once it has completely dried, all that is left to do is install it and admire it's beauty!
XO, S!
